Earlier this week former delegate John Leoplod was sworn in as Anne Arundel County's seventh County Executive. If you read the Capital this weekend, then you probably read the article about the Question of the Day at City Dock Cafe.
I get my coffee most mornings at City Dock Cafe and each morning I take a stab at the Question of Day. Most mornings the question references some obscure figure in history known only to students at St John's Collge, but this morning the question asked the reader to name the six previous CEs. I met the minimum requirements for the discounted cup o' joe naming three of the six. According to the article, I was in minority; far fewer could name three or more of the six previous CEs.
No matter what accomplishments and accolades one acheives in office, they are forgotten with the election of a successor.
I, like many, wish Mr Leopold well. He has many challenges to tackle and I wish all the best has he and his team work to move Anne Arundel County forward.

What Were They Thinking?
I think Anne Arundel County is the only place to find common sense anymore. It will take the combined effort of many to keep Maryland from becoming the next Baltimore City.
Let's all come together for the sake of common sense and limit the Boy Mayor to one term.
